Alex Cevenini

ceveniniAlex Cevenini was born in Milano, Italy, in 1983. He obtained a BA in business administration at Bocconi University, followed the Harvard Program on Negotiation, and studied Social and Applied Psychology at the University of Otago, New Zealand. In Spring 2007, while about to complete his MSc in Economics and Management of Innovation at Bocconi, he was hit by acute myelogenous leukemia. While fighting his cancer for two years, he got time off a busy life to dedicate to one of his greatest passions, photography, that he has been self learning since then. He collaborates as a reporter for The Tamarind, and his photos appeared on the likes of Schmap Guides, Gambero Rosso blog, and the National Encyclopedia of New Zealand by the NZ Ministry of Culture and Heritage. In 2009, Alex launched the website to raise awareness and offer help in the fight against leukemia. A "Beat Leukemia" group is also available on facebook.
